 In his opening speech, Sargsyan thanked for the invitation to visit China and the warm reception the Armenian delegation received. Qiliang, in turn, conveyed confidence that the Armenian Defence Minister’s visit to China will boost the Armenian-Chinese relations.

Sargsyan spoke about the details of the negotiations he had during the visit, outlining prospects and opportunities for expanding cooperation in the defence sector.

Armenia and China have a history of long and effectively cooperation in many areas, including the defence sector. In particular, active cooperation exists in military education and humanitarian fields. However, today’s challenges call for a deeper cooperation to withstand them through joint efforts. The mutually-balanced stance on important and sensitive issues is solid evidence. Sargsyan thanked for China's consistent and constructive stance on the Karabakh conflict.

The parties agreed that the Armenian-Chinese relations have great potential, and efforts must be made to exert efforts. The high level of political dialogue between Armenia and China, which is anchored on mutual and full trust, will greatly facilitate it. Qiliang added that Armenia is a reliable and sincere friend and partner for China. The parties reached an agreement to intensify their efforts to deepen cooperation between the two friendly countries.
