Armenian Genocide 102-nd Year Commemoration Evening in Beijing

On April 24, 2017, Commemoration Evening dedicated to 102^nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China.

Armenian students from different universities in Beijing and overall China, businessmen, Ministry of Defense officers and MFA diplomats attending various courses in China, Armenians living in Beijing were present at the commemoration evening. The Embassy staff was present as well.

The commemoration evening began with flower laying and burning incense, as well as candle lightening ceremony before the Khachkar in front of the Embassy.

It continued in the ceremony hall of the Embassy by observing a moment of silence in the the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and the soldiers, who died fighting against the large-scale military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh on April 02, 2016. H.E. Mr. Sergey Manassarian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China, welcomed the guests and delivered a speech afterwards.

The speech was followed by screening of a documentary movie about the Armenian Genocide.
