Investment potential of Armenia was presented to Chinese investors

During the meeting the Chinese investors were presented with the business environment in Armenia, the investment attractiveness of the country, the available potential and opportunities. He also reported on infrastructure projects, road construction programs, development of the mining industry, agriculture and energy.

In particular, the Chinese investors were presented with the projects of construction of the highway "North-South", the Iran-Armenia railway project, renewable energy sources generation soarces. Attention of the participants of the meeting was also drawn to the possibilities of implementing programs in such areas as fish farming and hothouse economy, construction of a copper melting plant and a number of other projects in the mining industry. He also informed about the opening opportunities of the free economic zone in Meghri on the border with Iran.

Referring to the words of the sales representative in China, the interest of investors from the Middle Kingdom to the economy of Armenia is significant. They show particular interest in infrastructure projects and the mining industry. "An intensive work is under way to provide accurate information on the Armenian economy, its investment field, and the country's recognition of the country, often in various formats, meetings with the owners of Chinese companies, so that the latter have a maximum understanding of the opportunities for cooperation in various fields and investment potential of the country, one of which was the meeting held in Beijing the previous day, "Hrant Abajyan said.
