Armenian Genocide 103-rd Year Commemoration Evening in Beijing

On April 24, 2018, Commemoration Evening dedicated to 103^rd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China.

Armenian students from different universities in Beijing and overall China, businessmen, Armenians living in Beijing were present at the commemoration evening. The Embassy staff was present as well.

The commemoration evening began with flower laying and burning incense, as well as candle lightening ceremony before the Khachkar in front of the Embassy.

It continued in the ceremony hall of the Embassy by observing a moment of silence in the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide H.E. Mr. Sergey Manassarian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China, welcomed the guests and delivered a speech afterwards.

Duduk by Arshak Mkhitaryan and violin by Shawn Moore from the USA were played during the Commemoration Evening. There were Bach, Komitas and other composers in the repertoire.
