Event in Beijing dedicated to the 110th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

On April 24, a commemorative event marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in China.

The event began with a ceremony of laying flowers and burning incense at the khachkar located on the embassy grounds, followed by a candlelight vigil.

Afterward, attendees watched an excerpt from the documentary film Vardapet about Komitas, after which the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to China, Vahe Gevorgyan, delivered a speech.

In his remarks, the Ambassador commemorated the victims of the Armenian Genocide, highlighted the efforts of the survivors to restore Armenian statehood, the spiritual, economic, and cultural revival of the Armenian people.

The event was attended by embassy staff, Armenian students studying at various universities in Beijing, as well as other citizens of the Republic of Armenia and ethnic Armenians residing in China.
