Armenian Ambassador’s Visit to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

From June 8 to 10, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the People's Republic of China, Vahe Gevorgyan, paid a working visit to Yinchuan, the administrative center of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China. During the visit, he participated in the 5th International Exhibition of Wine Culture and Tourism of China, which this year was held in conjunction with the second session (Red and White Wines) of the «Concours Mondial de Bruxelles» (CMB) international wine and spirits competition, where Armenian-produced wines were also presented.

As part of the visit, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia held meetings with the leadership of the region, including Li Yifei, Party Secretary of the Ningxia-Hui Autonomous Region Committee of the CPC of the People's Republic of China, and Zhang Yupu, Governor of the region. During the meetings, issues related to the expansion of decentralized cooperation between the administrative units of Armenia and Ningxia were discussed, and the importance of collaboration and joint projects in the field of winemaking was emphasized.

To participate in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles competition, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, paid a working visit to Yinchuan on June 11–12. He took part in the official ceremony during which the symbolic handover of the competition’s emblem to Armenia took place. The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is scheduled to be held in Armenia next year.
